COMPUTER TOMOGRAPHY OF THE HEART
During the multislice computer tomography of the heart coronary vessels are depicted in three-dimentions by means of injecting a contrast measure into the vein. This way soft residues on the coronary vessels can be distinguished from calcifications. This kind of examination can be carried out in risk patients as well as in patients with coronary diseases. It is also possible to carry out this examination after a bypass surgery.
