HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE
High blood pressure is defined as a blood pressure over 140/90 mmHg. High blood pressure is a frequently occuring disease. In the age group of 50 and over, almost every second person has high blood pressure values. High blood pressure is an important risk factor for vessel, kidney and cardiac insufficiency. High blood pressure often occurs in overweight people, also if there is a family predisposition, stress or lack of movement. High blood pressure does not cause any complaints, but it can lead to serious diseases of the heart and decreased performance, which can only be detected too late. Therefore early monitoring and appropriate treatment of high blood pressure is necessary.
