INDIVIDUAL RISK EVALUATION
OR RISK ASSESSMENT
The risk to develop a heart attack, a stroke or arteriosclerosis of vessels, is associated with the presence of multiple risk factors, such as high blood pressure, cholesterin values, smoking, increased high blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases in the family, overweight, age, physical inactivity. Today it is possible to evaluate the individual risk using certain laboratory values or determining so-called score-values in charts, and to minimize the relevant risk factors with the help of therapy or changing weight, nutrition habits or taking up sports activities. The earlier the risks are detected, the higher is the probability to avoid arteriosclerosis. |
