CORONARY HEART DISEASE
In Germany 340.000 inhabitants die of cardio-vascular diseases. One third die of sudden cardiac death. Coronary heart diseases are characterised by narrowed coronary vessels and therefore blood supply of the heart muscles is disturbed. The narrowing is mostly caused by deposits or fatty degeneration of vessels and hardening of vessels. Risk factors are often the cause for it. By means of an early recognition and treatment of risk factors, as well as treatment of coronary heart disease, either the disease or its serious consequences such as heart attack or a sudden cardiac death can be prevented. |
